The Marion County Assessor’s office plans to mail 2015 assessment notices to property owners Monday.

The notices are intended to inform property owners of the estimated market value of their property since the assessment will be the basis for determining September 2016 and March 2017 property taxes.
Property owners who disagree with their new valuation should first contact the Assessor’s Office. They will have an opportunity to protest their 2015 assessed values to the Board of Review. A written protest must be submitted by May 5th.
