Knoxville’s sewer bond rating through Moody’s remains excellent after a third review in 18 months.

City Manager Harold Stewart says it’s unusual for a community the size of Knoxville to have such an outstanding rating. It’s also important because the city is in the process of refinancing some bonds that were issued in 2008 and will now be able to get a lower interest rate for them.
Stewart says they hope to save the citizens of Knoxville about half a million dollars over the remaining life of the bonds.
