MidAmerican Energy crews have restored power in Knoxville after a transformer blew on the corner of Larson and Lincoln.
Shortly after 3PM, Knoxville Fire and Rescue and the Knoxville Police Department were called to the scene. At the height of the outage, over 4,200 people were without power. Fire Chief Jim Mitchell tells KNIA/KRLS News that a squirrel caused the outage. The squirrel did not survive the incident.
