Twin Cedars’ boys’ basketball team had some very talented scorers on it for the 2014-15 season. Senior Otis Roby and sophomore Cam Arkema were the Sabers’ top two scorers with other contributions up and down the line-up. Coach Alan Stewart says as they played more and more games together, his Sabers were able to play better basketball, and the team even gave it a unique nickname. When the Sabers scored at least 60 points, just under their season average, they were 11 – 2, but if they came in under that threshold, Twin Cedars had a 1 – 9 mark. They will lose nearly 60% of their scoring to graduation for 2015-16, but Stewart says they have some young guys and players down in middle school that could and should help them fill some of those gaps left by Roby and Trenton Bacus.
