The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team played good basketball when it mattered in the 2014-15 season. Starting on January 27, during their final eight games of the regular season, the Trojans played in six games that were decided by three points or less, and save for a loss to Albia, Pleasantville won each of them. They also tacked on another three-point win over Colo-Nesco in the district semifinals. Coach Tom Wilkins says a lot of credit can be given to his 12th graders. The Trojans will lose another good group of seniors with a total of six that will be leaving the program for graduation.
