November 2006 Participated in a Career Day at Knoxville High School .  Jim Butler and John McGee participated by visiting with classes of Sophamores and Juniors, discussing opportunities in broadcasting and advertising sales.  We also discuss educational needs for broadcasting and some available scholarships. November 2006 participated in a Mock interview session at Knoxville High School .  This program was an opportunity to have students participate in a real interview session so they could prepare for interviews.  We also discussed opportunities for broadcasting careers and even part time broadcasting positions. February 2007  We mailed out letters and applications to all Marion County Schools for the KNIA/KRLS Business and Broadcasting Scholarships we will award in may 2007.  We also aired commercials pertaining to the Iowa Broadcasters Scholarship and passed out IBA Scholarship applications to all part time announcers. May 2007 Awarded 2 business and Broadcasting Scholarships to 2 Marion County High School Seniors.  Those Seniors were Chelsea Kastner of Knoxville and Kirsten Monsma from Pella Christian High School in Pella .
