Summer is on the horizon, and Marion County car dealers say it’s the time vehicle sales tend to increase. Tom DeVore of DeVore Motors in Knoxville says they look forward to summertime when it comes to increasing sales, and adds both their sales and service are growing in part because of other dealerships outside of the county closing due to national cutbacks from GM and Chrysler. Craig Ford of Pella Motors in Pella says sales tend to spike in the warmer months, and adds car companies are adding attractive incentives for customers to boost sales. Chuck Vander Wal of Ulrich Ford in Pella says they’ve seen a recent increase in sales, and adds sales will also increase when people get into normal buying patterns as the economy improves nationally.
