The Indiana Township Fire Department responded to a baler fire southwest of Pershing on 165th, east of Highway 5 Sunday afternoon. The baler caught fire while workers were baling cornstalks around 3pm. Approximately an acre of field residue also caught fire. First responders were on the scene for approximately an hour, and no injuries were reported.
