Those who stopped by Thursdays in Pella activities this week got a preview of events coming up this weekend.

Crew members inflated a hot air balloon on Franklin Street ahead of this weekend’s Balloonfest.


Kids also competed in a watermelon eating contest sponsored by the Pella HyVee, decorated balloon-shaped or car-shaped cookies, and made other crafts.

Classic cars were also on display.
The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio is broadcasting from every Thursdays in Pella event this summer.
