Want to get out on a boat this summer or need to improve your skills?

On Saturday, May 31, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer a course to brush up on boating knowledge, safety requirements and general rules of the road. The class is open to beginners and experienced boaters of all ages, and it also fulfills the state’s boater education requirement for young boaters 12 up to 18 years old. Course hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The course fee is $15.00 for those seeking certification. To register contact the Corps of Engineers office at (641) 828-7522.
