Last season he dominated both nights of the Corn Belt Nationals, this year, Brady Bacon only dominated one of the nights, but he picked the right night to dominate. Bacon led from start to finish as he won his second straight Corn Belt Nationals USAC Sprint Car race leading all 30 laps of the A-Main that actually ended early Sunday morning. Rain delayed the start of the entire race night by nearly three hours and when the checkered flag fell at 3:13am on Sunday morning, Bacon was $20,000 richer. Bacon played it conservative in the opening laps, but by the time he reached lapped traffic he was laying down some fast laps.

Bacon:
“I took it a little easy in the first few laps, and I saw whoever was showing their nose on the screen and I thought ‘I better pick it up,’ and I wanted a gap getting into lapped traffic knowing that was going to be tricky. Thankfully we were able to make pretty good moves in lapped traffic and keep the gap safe.”

Justin Grant was second while C.J. Leary completed the podium. Meanwhile, Brian Brown kept doing Brian Brown things in the 410 winged A-Main winning for a third time this season. Brown led from start to finish, and while Kerry Madsen was stalking him all race long, he just could not get close enough to make the pass. This Saturday, the Pro Sprints return to weekly racing and the 360s will be joined by the Nebraska 360s. As always you can hear the call on KNIA with Live Track Side at 5:00pm and Race Nights Live at 7:00pm.
