***NEWS UPDATE*** Bussey Man Lifeflighted Following Accident

A Bussey man was taken to a Des Moines hospital by helicopter early Saturday morning after a single-vehicle accident in Lucas County. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 52-year-old Bobby Marsh was northbound on Highway 14 when his vehicle left the roadway at struck a utility pole near 560th street at approximately 1:20 a.m.

Marsh was Transported by Mercy One Hospital to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, where he was in fair condition, according to a hospital spokesman.

Assisting at the scene were Marion and Lucas County Sheriff’s deputies, Chariton Police, Lucas County Health Center Ambulance, and Williamson and Chariton Fire Departments.
