Marion County PM Sports Page – Pella Christian Girls Basketball Seniors

With most of the members of last year’s State Tournament-qualifying team back from a season ago, the expectations were high in the 2011-12 season for the Pella Christian girls basketball team. After a long and challenging journey, the Lady Eagles again find themselves among the eight-team field at Wells Fargo Arena, with their State Tournament run starting this Tuesday morning. Following Pella Christian’s win over Monticello on Monday night, KNIA/KRLS Sports Director Eric Gotschall talked with all seven seniors on this year’s squad about what makes this season different, what they’ve enjoyed the most about the ride so far, and why they think they’ve got what it takes to make a splash in “the Well”.

Engbers Nails 7 Threes, PC Girls Rip Eddyville-Blakesburg 73-43

Paige Engbers had the hot hand from beyond the three-point arc as Pella Christian rolled to a 73-43 win over Eddyville-Blakesburg in Tuesday night’s Class 2A Regional Quarterfinal in Pella.

Pella High and Pella Christian Volleyball Squads to Square Off Tonight at Central College
