Tom Palmer and Sam Dykstra combined for an 8 – 0 shutout of the Spartans, while the other two doubles contests were decided 8 – 2. Palmer and CJ Cliff won their games in straight sets, clinching the match victory for Central. They will have to contend with No. 1-seeded Coe today at 9:00 a.m. in the league tournament semifinals. Central lost to Coe in the regular season, 9 – 0.
