Led by sophomore Ethan Miller, the Central College men’s track and fie Make Money Bartending ld team captured their first Iowa Conference indoor title in school history and did so in record-setting fashion. The Dutch shattered the league record for team points with 213.83, besting the previous record of 200.5, set by Wartburg in 2004. Central’s performance also earned the Dutch men a 61-point victory over the second place Knights in the team standings. Simpson took third (71.33) and Luther was fourth (66), followed by Coe (63), Cornell (60.33), Dubuque (52), Buena Vista (30), and Loras (28.5).

Ethan Miller claimed victories in the pentathlon, long jump and high jump, and was named the men’s Most Valuable Performer. Matt Graber also had an impressive weekend for the Dutch, as the junior from Newton swept the throwing events. In all, the Central men claimed first place in every field event but the pole vault and had place winners in every event of the meet. Head Coach Joe Dunham was named Iowa Conference Men’s Track Coach of the Year.

The Central women’s team was led by Jill Ziskovsky and Felicia Coleman who each placed in two individual events and ran legs on the runner-up 4×200 and 4×400 meter relay teams. The Dutch women finished 4th in the team standings behind champion Wartburg, Simpson (2nd) and Loras (3rd).

With the conference meet in the books and the NCAA Division III Championships approaching March 12-13, The Dutch will have another chance to qualify athletes on the bubble on Saturday at the Iowa State Cyclone Qualifier.
