Clinching the 2nd spot in their district last week, the PCM Mustangs kick off the Class 2A playoffs tonight with a first-round home game against the Clear Lake Lions.

The Mustangs dominated Roland-Story last week to the tune of 406 rushing yards and four touchdowns. While PCM dominated their opponent, Clear Lake let a first quarter 21-0 lead slip against New Hampton before closing out the game with a 35-28 win. With their wins last week, PCM improved to 5-3 on the year and Clear Lake improved to 4-4. Despite having the better record, PCM is two spots lower in the BCMoore Rankings.

The Mustangs and Lions share one common opponent this year as both teams had 42-0 victories over Iowa Falls-Alden. While they share an opponent, tonight’s matchup does not feature a common matchup as this is the first time that PCM and Clear Lake played each other.

Our coverage tonight from PCM High School begins at 6:30 p.m. on the KRLS3 Stream at KNIAKRLS.com and on the free KNIA/KRLS Mobile App. The game also begins earlier tonight, as the game is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m. for the first time this season for the Mustangs.
