Classic Aviation now has the first turbine powered aircraft made available for charter flights at the Pella Municipal Airport.

Last month, representatives from the Federal Aviation Association in Des Moines presented Classic Aviation with an air carrier certificate, which allows the Pella Municipal Airport to offer point-to-point, on demand charter services. Classic Aviation is utilizing a 2013 Socata TBM 850 Single Engine Turboprop for this service, which is capable of carrying five passengers at speeds of up to 320 knots or 368 miles per hour, and up to 1500 miles in range. A Chamber “business after hours” event is planned for December 9th from 5 to 7 p.m. to show Pella area businesses the advantages of travel by air charter.
