This Satuday, Cool Congregations–An Earth Stewardship Program, in conjunction with Iowa Power and Light will be hosting a workshop at the Coe Center at Central College. Sarah Webb from Cool Congregations says that the workshop is all about energy efficiency and lets people meet in small groups to measure their carbon footprints to potentially cut down on carbon dioxide. Webb says that Cool Congregations had 28 families last year that managed to cut their carbon dioxide by 67 tons, equal to taking 18 cars off the roads. Families were also able to save 200 dollars by limiting their use of carbon dioxide. The workshop is open to anyone who would like to participate and will run from 9-noon.
