Marion County Engineer Roger Schletzbaum will be retiring at the end of the year. Schletzbaum tells KNIA/KRLS News that no hard date has been set yet. The Marion County Board of Supervisors discussed Tuesday their plans to fill the position, noting that Schletzbaum has provided them with help in the job description and avenues to advertise the position. The position will be posted soon; the goal is to have the new engineer in place by late September or early October to allow an adequate transition period with Schletzbaum. Schletzbaum has worked in Marion County for more than 13 years.
