Several acts of criminal mischief around Pleasantville left several mailboxes and a six wheel utility cart damaged Tuesday morning. Pleasantville Police Chief Duane Bates says the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to three calls of mailboxes being damaged and located the cart south of Pleasantville. Investigation led the Sheriff’s Office to believe the cart was from the Pleasantville Country Club, with the Pleasantville Police Department confirming that the utility cart and two golf carts were taken from the golf course and driven used to damage the mailboxes. Chief Bates says all carts were located and returned to the golf course, with around $4000 damage. He says any residents with any information about this crime should contact the Pleasantville Police Department or the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
