In a baseball doubleheader that was long enough already with a 12-inning, 11 – 6 game one that went Grinnell’s way over Pella Christian yesterday, a pair of raccoons (pictured above) caused a bit of a delay while Athletic Director, Brad Engbers, played animal control in the outfield. The nightcap also ended in favor of the Tigers, 6 – 2. Josh Rolffs had four hits, Dillon Branderhorst and Jason Holwerda each picked up two hits, and Scott Haveman had two RBIs. The Eagles are now 5 – 11, and they’ll play two more with Newton later this evening.
