Vote by mail and early in-person voting begins today. Warren County Auditor Traci Vanderlinden tells KNIA News despite a record number of absentee ballots in the primary election, it went by smoothly.

“There were no problems on our end, it went great. In fact it was the biggest turnout we have ever had for a primary. I went back and checked the 2016 primary, we had a total of 406 requested absentee ballots, and this election we had over 8,000 almost 9,000. I think it went very well.”

Vanderlinden also said she expects even greater participation in the general election this November, but is confident in her department’s ability to handle it.
