Today is Father’s Day.

Each year, Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in 55 countries around the world. In 1972 President Richard Nixon signed a law making Father’s Day a permanent national holiday in the United States, 58 years after Mother’s Day was officially recognized as a national holiday. Today, Father’s Day is celebrated in a wide variety of ways through gifts, outings and greeting cards.
