Knoxville High School wants to take you back to 1984 this weekend as they perform their spring musical Footloose. Director Jackie Duffy says that the energetic play includes lots of singing and dancing with a large ensemble. She says 16 seniors will take the stage this year.

Leads Hannah Wallace and Matt Beary, two of those seniors, say that after doing some more traditional musicals for a couple of years, it was nice to shake things up and do something a little more modern.

Duffy tells KNIA/KRLS News that the play wouldn’t be possible without the help of Heidi Feldman, who is in charge of choreography. Feldman brings some Broadway experience to Knoxville, and Duffy says she has put together some great dance moves for the kids.
