Last year, it was then-freshman Sebastian Baugh for the Pella Christian boys’ basketball team that was coming up with key shots at the right times on their way to a state tournament berth. This season, the torch has been passed down to freshman Levi Jungling. The ninth-grader came up with huge baskets in Friday night’s thrilling 54 – 51 win over PCM including clutch free throws down the stretch. Coach Larry Hessing says that Jungling’s knowledge extends much further than just for basketball. With their win, the Eagles advanced to the district finals against Albia. That game will take place in Oskaloosa on Tuesday, and can be heard live on the air on 92.1 KRLS.
