Competing in the Ballard Invitational last night, the Pella High girls finished first and the boys took home runner-up honors.
The Lady Dutch scored 31 teams points, outpacing the host Bombers, who had 59, and DCG, who scored 65.
Tess Roorda finished second individually, Ciara Buccheit was fifth, Kelcey Blommers took sixth and Annika Pingel was eighth as all 7 Lady Dutch runners placed inside the top 13.
Dallas Center Grimes won the boys race with 27 points, ahead of the 57 scored by Pella. Carlisle was third with 84.
Blaise Van Wyngardner was third individually with Nick Bernhagen eighth.
Pella’s cross-country teams will be back in action Saturday at Des Moines Roosevelt.
