Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley was presented an award in Pella Wednesday afternoon. The Senator was recognized by the National Association of Manufacturers with their Legislative Excellence Award at the Vermeer Global Pavilion. Vermeer CEO Mary Andringa says it’s important for elected officials to be recognized and come to manufacturing facilities like Vermeer, to better understand the needs of those companies. NAM CEO Jay Timmons says his organization named Grassley for his common sense approach to policies that affect manufacturing in the country.
