Knoxville’s Playoffs Dreams End In Osklaoosa

Thunderstorms Chase Knoxville And Norwalk Away From Ken Locke Stadium

Knoxville was playing Norwalk last night at Ken Locke Stadium, however an unexpected thunderstorm blew through Knoxville and stopped the game for over an hour. Just as the teams were making their way onto the field to resume the game, more lightning flashed in the sky and officials decided to call the game and come back tonight. The game will be resumed tonight at 5:30 with Norwalk leading 6-0 with 6:47 remaining in the first quarter, Knoxville will have the ball first and ten from its own 32 yard line. As strange as the night was for both teams, Knoxville Coach Troy Rider says this give his team a chance to make some adjustments on both sides of the ball. Again, the game will resume tonight at 5:30 at Ken Locke Stadium, and you can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 KNIA.

Knoxville Looks For Respect Against Norwalk

The Knoxville Football Squad will host Norwalk in the final home game of the season tonight at Ken Locke Stadium. While the Panthers still have a glimmer hope for a playoff spot, that has not even been discussed at practice this week. Coach Troy Rider says first, his team wants to get the respect back, and to do that the Panthers need to show up tonight and beat a very good Norwalk team. The Warriors will again be without all-state running back Kenny Floyd…but will have their starting quarterback in the lineup. Knoxville is coming off a 34-8 win over Chariton last week that broke a four game losing streak. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 KNIA with Derek Cardwell and Mike Cunningham beginning with the pre game at seven.
