Knoxville Girls Hope Black Uniforms And Odd Numbers Bring Win #1 Tonight

The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad follows the same schedule as the boys do this week with games today and tomorrow. Coach Jim Utiermarkt hopes to have at least one of his players back from the injured list tonight in Centerville. Meredith Cunningham has been out with a sprained ankle and Utiermarkt says she practiced this week in preparation for Friday’s game against Pella, but at the last minute was ruled out due to more soreness and swelling. He also joked this will be the first true road game for the Panthers, and hoping the black uniforms may bring the team some good luck. Utiermarkt says with the exception of picture day the black uniforms have not come out of storage yet. The girls will get their game going tonight at six-15.
