Registration for Hunter Education Courses is open. The deadline to register is August 15th and classes tend to full up quickly. The class is required of all Iowa hunters born after January 1, 1972.

Two sessions will be held, on Thursday, August 18th and Saturday, August 20th, and both must be attended to receive certification. To register and pick up pre-course work, visit the Marion County Recorders Office at the Courthouse.

The course is sponsored by the Marion County Sportsman’s Club, the Marion County Conservation Board and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
