The Central College women’s soccer program has been chosen by Iowa Conference coaches to finish sixth in the league race this fall.  It is the same spot the Dutch finished at last fall, after going 3-4-1 in a very competitive conference race.

2011 Iowa Conference regular season co-champion and tournament winner Loras College is the unanimous choice of the league’s coaches to claim the 2012 crown.  Wartburg garnered the next most votes, followed by Luther, Simpson and Dubuque.

The Central women have high hopes for the season, though, after returning nearly everyone from a squad that finished with an impressive 10-7-1 record under first-year head coach Mike Kobylinski.  The Dutch have some tough non-conference competition to open the women’s soccer season, as they’ll debut on August 31st at Nebraska Wesleyan.  Iowa Conference play starts on September 22nd.
