Today marks 300 days until the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series Iowa Corn 300.
The short track race in central Iowa has become a bucket-list item for fans and a favorite for the drivers who compete in it. As a part of the yearlong buildup to the 11th running of the race, Iowa Corn and Iowa Speedway representatives will conduct a “Pit Stop” at Smith Fertilizer & Grain in Knoxville. The Iowa Corn 300 Pit Crew will spring into action to service a semi-driver hauling corn to the elevator by washing the windows and handing the driver a dozen lunches for the crew back in the field. The “pit stop” will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Grain and Fertilizer, 1650 Quebec Street.
