Road reconstruction will continue until November along Jefferson Street in Pella.

City Administrator Mike Nardini says this is one of many extensive reconstruction projects the city has planned to complete by 2020. He says it includes widening the road from East 2nd to Hazel. Crews will also replace the sewer and water main along the same stretch.

Those hoping to access Pella Regional Health Center’s south entrance should use a drive located at the intersection of East 2nd and Jefferson Street. Homeowners in the construction zone are also reminded that street access to their homes will be restricted until work is complete.
