A Knoxville woman who pled guilty to drug charges in July was arrested again late last week for similar charges. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA/KRLS news 35 year-old Kimberly Kay Murphy was a passenger in a car stopped for a traffic violation Saturday afternoon. After the stop, Losada says the driver consented to a search of the vehicle at which time contraband was found which lead to Murphy’s arrest. She is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On July 2nd, Murphy pled guilty to possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of meth and possession of marijuana following her arrest April 29th. At that time she received a one year suspended jail sentence, two years of probation, a $315 fine and her license was revoked for 180 days.

A preliminary hearing is set for September 14th at 1:30pm.
