The search for a new Knoxville city manager continues. At Monday’s city council meeting, the council decided to review a proposal that came in late due to postal delays. Interim City Manager Heather Ussery says that the deadline to receive proposals was pushed back slightly, and a work session will be held to discuss moving forward with the process.

“They decided that to be able to review that late one, they had to initially reject the bids they received and then reopen the filing time. They’ve done that, and the new deadline will be March 11th. There will be a work session scheduled for March 8th for the council to discuss the position a little bit more and what they’d like to see in that position. It’ll then probably come back to our March 15th meeting for further discussion.”
