Prior to next Friday’s home basketball games against Davis County the Knoxville Education Foundation will hold it’s annual Chili and Soup Cook Off.

Foundation President David Hoke tells KNIA/KRLS News the money collected will help support Knoxville Education in a variety of ways, including: Granting $1000 to each school for unbudgeted needs, buying lunch for teacher’s inservice and things they might not otherwise be able to afford. The Cookoff will begin at 5:30pm. The meal costs $5 and includes chili or soup, ham sandwich, veggie/dip, roll, and a beverage. Hoke says there are about 10 entries this year and awards for best soup and best chili will be presented.
