Four individuals will be enshrined into the Knoxville High School Athletic Hall of Fame in January. Joel Tonda, who coached multiple sports at Knoxville, was known for leading the boys tennis squad to multiple conference titles and the 2001 state championship. Jim Schall was a multi-sport standout who won the Drake Relays pole vault in 1994. Lisa Moats-Crossett was a track and field standout for Knoxville and was a state runner-up in the long jump. She went on to have a very successful career at the University of Iowa winning the Big Ten championship in the indoor long jump. Sean Mason was a four-sport standout for the Panther football, basketball, track, and baseball earning all-conference honors in all four sports. The Hall of Fame inductions will take place January 31st in between the girls and boys basketball games with Newton.
