With the calendar changing to March tomorrow, local families are making plans for upcoming spring break adventures. In Knoxville, if residents are planning to stay in town, the Knoxville Recreation Center will be a prime destination for parents and children wanting to get out of the house and stay healthy. Wellness Supervisor for the Knoxville Recreation Center, Angie Jones tells KNIA/KRLS News children can get their energy out during spring break by taking part in open swim from 1-4pm. Jones says children can also accompany their parents to fitness classes as well. She says if children do not want to stay in the fitness class they can play basketball while their parents workout. The Knoxville Rec Center is open normal hours throughout spring break.
