While not fully operational, the campground and cabins at Lake Ahquabi and Lake Ahquabi State Park are open for reservations through November 30th. Parks Supervisor Chad Kelchen tells KNIA News the lake was drained in 2021 to fix several issues with the spillways and fish population, and the DNR decided while that was taking place to take advantage of the time to improve the conditions of the campground.

Due to the low water level in the lake, the lodge, beach and shelter, concessionaire, and boat ramps will not be open in 2023, and the grass on the campground is not fully established.
