A record number of residents gathered at the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Friday to get an update from our area legislators.

About 20 residents turned out to hear State Senator and Republican minority leader Paul McKinley and State Representative, Republican Jim Van Engelenhoven, discuss issues including keeping healthcare local, sources for infrastructure funding, and meeting sewer mandates from the DNR during the hour-long meeting.

Several city and county officials, local leaders, and residents were in attendance during the forum, which is held the first Friday of each month at 4 p.m. All Marion County residents are invited to attend.
