Marion County PM Sports Page – Pella High Softball

It’s been a changing of the guard this season for the Pella High softball team, as the Lady Dutch have gone from a senior-dominated team a year ago to a squad of mostly juniors with a few seniors sprinkled in and a handful of underclassmen. Allie DeMeulenaere and Morgan Ernst (both juniors) and Lindsey Mueller (one of two seniors) sat down with KNIA/KRLS Sports Director Eric Gotschall following Tuesday night’s 7-6 come-from-behind victory over Colfax-Mingo to talk about the ride so far, what they enjoy about their respective positions in the field, and why they think Pella will be at the top of the conference standings by season’s end.

Three talented members of last season’s State Championship team are back and leading the way this spring for the Pleasantville girls golf squad. The Pella High girls track and field squad has torn through the competition so far, and seem to show no signs of letting up any time soon.
