Iowa State Senate District 40 has another contender running for office. Oskaloosa resident and minister Mark Doland has announced that he will be running for the seat. Doland is an Iowa native, originally from Polk County. Last month Republican Mahaska County Supervisor Ken Rozenboom announced his candidacy for the seat. The New Senate District 40 was created after the 2010 Cencus, and includes all of Mahaska, Monroe, and Appanoose counties, western Wapello, and Lake Prairie Township in Marion County, including the city of Pella.
