Central Men’s Golf Finishes 3rd at Dubuque Tourney..Harvey Medalist

Central College senior Jason Harvey fired a 36 hole score of 145 to snare medalist honors at the 32-team University of Dubuque Bishops Buffet Invitational men’s golf tourney Sunday. Harvey finished at 1-over-par at the North Course at Eagle Ridge Resort, winning the title by 3 strokes in a 151-player field. 25th ranked Central placed third in the tournament at 611. National junior college power Indian Hills won with 597 while 12th ranked Illinois Wesleyan pulled ahead of the Dutch for second at 608, while the Central White team was 12th at 646.

Following Harvey for Central was Brent Messmore who tied for 14th at 153. Justin Livingston tied for 32nd at 158 along with Travis Havens. Brent Goodenow tied for 43rd at 160.

Central plays host to the Ryerson Fall Classic Friday and Saturday at the Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella.
