Pella Meth-Related Arrests 2015

The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force and Pella Police Department have arrested eight people for felony meth charges in the past month.

Those Pella residents were each charged with a controlled substance violation – conspiracy to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony.

Kristin Marie Scott, 31, Sarah Ferguson, 22, and Dustin Vos, 32, were searched and arrested along Highway 163 on August 24th. According to court documents, a vehicle owned and driven by Scott was pulled over by a Marion County Deputy, and officers reportedly found approximately 15 grams of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. All three have pled not guilty.

Christopher Riley, 34 was arrested on August 25th. Police say Riley was in possession of a baggie that contained a substance that field-tested positive for meth. He pled not guilty on September 14th.

Aaron VanWyk and Jeanille Burk, both 36, were arrested on September 2nd at their Brook Circle home. The couple each face four counts of child endangerment after investigators say four children were residents in the home during the alleged criminal activity. Both have pled not guilty.

Andrew, 38, and Sheri Martin, 47, were taken into custody on September 15th. In a police interview, Sheri admitted to officers she purchased “teeners” and “eight balls,” which police say are common street terms for narcotics. Andrew reportedly provided a positive urine analysis to his probation officer and admitted that he had used meth on August 24th. In a post-miranda interview, however, he denied any involvement in narcotics activity. Preliminary hearings for both are set for September 25th.

The arrests were a result of multiple search warrants stemming from a lengthy investigation into the delivery and distribution of meth in the Pella area.
