The Monroe Fire Department will hold their 22nd annual fire week prevention parade on Saturday. Lights and the Fights will have burgers and hot dogs on the Monroe town square from 5-7 p.m., with Iowa artists Blues at Midnight performing from 5-8 p.m. There will be a lighted parade that features fire, EMS, and law enforcement from Central Iowa that will take place through Monroe beginning at 7. The event will conclude with night water fights, disco in the dark, and competitions between fire departments from 8-11 p.m.
