Due to vandalism at Auld Park the Knoxville Parks Commission recently set up a Neighborhood Watch Program and things appear to be going well thus far.  Parks Commission member Pennie Sommar presented an update to the Knoxville City Council at their meeting this week and stated that there have been recent improvements in both equipment and the amount of vandalism at the park.  City Manager Dick Schrad says he’s glad this system has been put in place. Police Chief Dan Losada says his department has received calls a few calls recently about suspicious activity at the park and officers make it a priority to respond to those calls in a timely manner in order to prevent damage to city property.
