Central College Sponsors High School Robotics Teams

Central College’s Upward Bound Math and Science program sponsored three high school robotics teams that competed in the Iowa Robotics Championship Competition earlier this month. The FIRST Tech Challenge teams of up to 10 students were responsible for designing, building and programming robots to compete against other teams.

Teams sponsored by Central College came from Oskaloosa, Des Moines North and Des Moines East High Schools. The team from Oskaloosa finished second out of sixteen teams in the competition and also won the Design Award for their robot.
