Park Lane Drive in Knoxville is being patched as part of the city’s streetscape project. Engineer Technician Richard Breese says while this project is being completed, the entrance to West Elementary and the High School will be slightly hindered.

“The southbound lane will be complete, so they’ll be able to come from Pleasant to Madison uninterrupted southbound. That’s exactly what we’re trying to do from the church past Robinson, so people can still come up Conrey, shoot across and get their kids, they just won’t be able to use that northbound lane. The buses will still be able to come from the bus lot and shoot across. After school starts, there will still be some construction for a couple of weeks there, but it won’t be in the specific vicinity of the school.”

The project is expected to be completed around September 6th, weather permitting.
