For just the second time in school history, the Pella Christian boys cross country team will run in the State Meet for the third season in a row.

This Saturday marks the first time that the Eagles will run at State in three consecutive years since Iowa moved races to five kilometers. The previous squads to accomplish the feat came from the 1981 through 1983 seasons, coming when races were 3.2 kilometers. Senior Shaun Bos says it’s been quite the journey to get back to Fort Dodge.

“I mean, I think back to freshman year when I wasn’t anywhere close to where I’m at now. I mean, it’s been quite the journey and I’m glad that we’ve been able to have the success that we could, especially running it back at Fort Dodge senior year, I’m just so proud of this team.”

The Pella Christian boys are scheduled to compete at State at 11:15 Saturday morning.
