School Board Meeting 2-24

The Pella Community School Board met last night. Among items discussed from the five school principals, is the challenge of deciding between a five day or six day rotation of classes at the elementary level. Administrators say that while it’s easier to rotate, and fill staff on a six day cycle, the children get less time in each class. The board also heard updates on construction around the district, and saw a revamped blueprint of the Career Academy. The next time the board meets will be Monday, March 10th at 4:30 pm for a work session inside the high school media center.
